E.L.F Haul.

Hello Ladies!

About two weeks ago I placed my first ever E.L.F order!  E.L.F stands for eyes lips face and is a company designated to providing affordable makeup to us gals.

They believe that:
Innovative technology, quality ingredients and superb delivery systems should not be limited to prestige retailers.  Every woman should have the opportunity to participate in innovation, without sacrificing her budget.  We hope you agree and invite you to experience E.L.F's revolutionary, value priced cosmetics and the proven results they offer.

Well after a statement like that I just had to try them out didn't I?

I have read many reviews about e.l.f's cosmetics both good and bad.  Finally I couldn't say no anymore when they had a sale:  Buy $25 worth of products and receive the 83 piece makeup collection for only $3.50.

And so to begin, this is what $25 worth of products to E.L.F looks like:

Fun right? Lets break it down:

1. e.l.f Studio Blush in "Pink Passion" $3

This picture doesn't exactly do this justice.  It is a very vibrant color and I was a little intimidated to try it because it was so intense.  I did however find if you are careful, it is a very pretty color and goes on very nicely.  Just remember to start sheer and build up because this will deposit a lot of color and FAST lol.

It is a super cute compact, mirror included.

2. e.l.f Studio High definition Undereye Setting Powder $3

This one even came with its own teeny tiny brush.  It claims to set your concealer for a longer wear.  I didn't necessarily notice a difference.  It is a lot of fun to wear though.

Now if any of you don't like sparkles don't use this.  It says "sheer" but there are some loose sparkles and can cause them to end up on your cheeks (I would definitely say it is VERY minimal but its there)  I think it made me look like a fairy.

3. e.l.f Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths $3

What can I say?  They work!  Whoo hoo I paid $3 to be lazy about my makeup routine.  The smell is a touch on the stronger side and I wouldn't recommend if you have sensitive skin.  I have a feeling this wouldn't be your friend in that case.

4. e.l.f Essential Nail Polish Remover Pads (2X $2 each)

I paint my nails a lot so I figured I would stock up on these puppies.  They work... ok.  Just ok.  Nothing spectacular and you definitely need more than one pad to remove all 10 nails.  But at 2 bucks I had to give them a try.

5. e.l.f Studio Complexion Perfection $3

As you can see this is a 4 color face powder.  On the website "the colors are meant to be blended together as the blue neutralizes orange, the green neutralizes red, the pink neutralizes grey and the yellow brightens and neutralizes red..

I'm not really sure what all that means and I'm not sure what its supposed to do! I bought it because I was trying to get up to $25.  Anyone help me out?

6. e.l.f Essential Elements Custom Compact ($5)

Now this is pretty cool.  I got to pick my own colors.  I wouldn't say the eye shadow is anything spectacular but hey, you get what you pay for.  The compact itself was $1 and each eye shadow you put in it was also $1.

They all have magnets on the bottom with the name of the shade.  I think I may just put these in my Z palette.  Be warned: the shadows do have a lot of fallout but I think If you are careful and use a primer they might just work for you.

7.  e.l.f Essential Bronzing Brush $1

I have been meaning to buy an angled face brush for some time now and the website only had this one.  And it was a dollar.  Warning: don't buy this!!

I don't know if you can tell from this picture but the ends were already splayed.  Oh well, not much money lost there.

8. e.l.f Studio Complexion Brush $3

I was pleasantly surprised with this brush!  This was nice and sturdy, will all uniform bristles, and very soft.  Not a hair out of place.  For 3 bucks I'm guessing the rest of the studio brush line isn't so bad (just don't buy the ones with white handles)

I read a lot of mixed reviews about this brush.  I personally like it but some people said the hair falls out after a few weeks, i'll keep you posted.

Now that was all only $25 worth of product!!

So I entered a code at checkout and got this:

9. e.l.f Studio 83 Piece Essential Makeup Collection $3.50

When it is closed.
What you see as soon as you open the lid.

Slide it open once, and you get 4 blushes and 8 lip glosses.
Slide open again and you get 4 bronzers

And under the bronzer's you get 3 questionable looking tiny brushes

This is it all folded out .
This set came with:
-64 eyeshadow shades
- 8 Lip Gloss shades
- 4 Blush shades
- 4 Bronzer Shades
- 3 brushes

To be honest I haven't really had the chance to play with this yet.  I think I'll do a full review on this when I get the chance (swatches too).

So what do you think about e.l.f??

I have a couple of promo codes for you guys if you use them before June 17th:

Free Shipping on orders $25 and over:  Use code SHIP25
Free "Summer Collection" on orders $20 or more: Use code: SUNKISSED

And If you click on the "sale" button at the top of their website they have a bunch of palettes at 25% off (no codes needed)

My Final Verdict:  Worth it.  My favorite products are the blush, complexion brush, and makeup remover pads.

Not a bad haul for under $30 huh?

Do you own anything from e.l.f? what do you think?  would you purchase again?

  1. Wow! You got a lot of product for almost nothing! I hate it that your angled brush is so bad though.

  2. haha so funny about your Complexion Perfection! i bought that too and i read about the colors neutralizing blahblah all very interesting but i was clueless as to how to actually use it. sometimes when i have a pimple pop up, i'd dab some green onto it but i don't really notice any difference.

i haven't tried the custom eyeshadows before but their other ones also have a toooooooon of fallout. i love the nail polishes from elf though!

  9. Hi :) I'm your newest follower, found you through the bloghop! I love elf products, and also had a mini-haul of my own recently that I have to post, but can't yet as I already misplaced an item ^^;;. I loved that they sent me a freebie with my order and it was only $10 or so.. plus I got a free magazine subscription. I contemplated getting the complexion perfection too, but I also didn't know exactly how to use it. Great haul!
