The Shopping Channel Beauty Tote Bag of Goodies

Hello My Lovelies!

Today I wanted to tell you a little bit about my recent purchase from the shopping channel.  I saw a post by Alexandra at Plumpish Beauty who bought the shopping channel's Beauty tote bag.  Seeing as I have no self control, I bought it.

What in it?

Well the bag is around $30 + $14 for shipping and tax and it is filled with all sorts of pretty things!  I believe I received 6 full size items and 14 sample sized items!  What a STEAL!

To top it all off, they included a gift certificate for $29.87 (the price of the bag) for you to purchase anything from the shopping channel.

The total of the full sized items alone was $178 retail.

Check out what I got:

Not a bad haul at all huh?

Oh what fun I have.  The bag itself is actually pretty big (perfect for the beach) but in my humble opinion, is U G L Y.  Oh well.  Lets take a closer look at the goods:

Urban Decay Super Curl Curling Mascara: Not my favorite, and this is my second sample of this mascara.  Just not my cup of tea.

Pur Minerals Impact Plus Mascara: I haven't tried this yet but I use Pur minerals foundation and love it so I'm excited to try this

CARGO One Base Concealer + Foundation in one: This is far too dark for me as I have pasty Irish princess skin.  I'll give it to someone else..

iampure Night and Day Cream: I haven't tried this either because there are a few other face creams in the tote.  However, it smells lovely.  The entire bag smells like these 2 creams for some reason.

Kalaya Restore After Sun Treatment: Boy is this handy.  I haven't had a sunburn yet (knock on wood) but i'll sure reach for this when I do.

Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer: This bad boy retails for $80.  One of the reasons I bought this tote is because my mums birthday is coming up and who wouldn't like an $80 wrinkle cream for her birthday?

PRAI Youth Synchronizer: Full size, retails for around $40 I believe.  Another gift for momma, to pamper herself.

Ojon Damage Reverse Hair Serum: I am not a fan of hair oils because mine is so thin, it always turns out oily.  I don't think I'll give it a try..

Elysée Radiance and Retexturizing Serium: Oh this makes me feel fancy.  I`m not sure if it actually does anything but it sure makes my skin feel soft.  Love it.

it Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer: Again, too dark.  I `ll give it to momma.

Sibu Seed Oil: This stuff smells horrible, but it works.  Another favorite product.  Helps relieve symptoms of rosacea, eczema, acne and dermatitis.

Pro Strong Nail Enamel: A very pretty color but haven`t gotten around to putting it on.  As a Maven I get new nail polish every month so this one will have to wait in line ;)

Tan Towel:  Remember that pasty Irish princess skin I was telling you about? Well I'm afraid to use this.  End of story.  I'll take pictures if I do.

Lily Tibetan Chrysanthemum Age Rectify Cream: Ok I meant to give this to mum too as I am only 23 and don't need wrinkle care but as soon as I swatched it on my hand, my skin was incredibly soft!  I love it.  PLUS it smells good AND its purple.

StriVectin-SD Instant Retexturizing Scrub:  I love this.  It cleans your skin, leaves it soft.  Simple.

Boscia Makeup Remover: I don't like this all that much.  Maybe its because it didn't work for me?  I don't know just not a fan.

And Lastly:

Consonant Skincare Organic Foaming Face Wash:  This is lovely.  Leaves your skin feeling clean, no muss no fuss, AND its full sized.  Score.

Naturally Hand and Body Lotion, White Tea Ginger: This is decent.  Nothing spectacular in the slightest.  Its just an ordinary hand cream.

So now is about the time where I would normally give the link so that all of you wonderful people can get a tote of your very own.

However, it appears that they do not sell them anymore.  If I had been a little more on the ball I would have posted this a week ago and it might still be available.  Sorry!

I guess you'll all just have to be jealous (haha kidding!)

But seriously,  if you want me to do a more thorough review on anything (I will in time) let me know in the comments!!

Cheers to all,

Sarah

  5. Really cool bag! I mean, not the bag itself (pretty ugly) but the contents. I wish I knew about this when it was still available.

Funny when you wrote: "my mums birthday is coming up and who wouldn't like an $80 wrinkle cream for her birthday?" because I just posted a post about my mom and how offended she was when I got her cream a couple years ago for her birthday. lol

  9. Ohhhh yeh!! The bag was SOOOO perfect for when I went camping..so don't get rid of it. If it gets ruined you won't be sad! heeh! Or you could always keep it as a gift for grandma? lol I should have saved it as one of the giveaways we do at Christmas (I'm a property manager in a seniors complex). Oh, I'm making myself giggle about the bag now. What's worse is I got the matching cosmetic bag..ha!
