Lancome Luxe Box by Loose Button (LOOK WHAT I WON!)

Why Hello Everyone,

About a month or two ago Loose Button teamed up with Lancome and Michelle Phan.  Loose Button had these special edition luxe boxes sent out to a select few beauty bloggers.  And in turn the beauty bloggers held a giveaway for a box.

Turns out I won one!

As you can see it is a regular luxe box with a fancy Lancome flower on it.

On the inside, basically the same thing with some new tissue paper and the flower sticker.

SOOO cute!

now the product description card needed a little revamping:

and the inside unfolds into a tri-fold:

Wowza!  4 FULL SIZED products!

Now I will tell you one thing about Lancome, the products are elegantly packaged and just SCREAM fancy.   Lets take a closer look:

1. Hypnose Doll Lashes

Full Size: $31

You know I have been a die hard fan of the Dior Shadow Blast Mascara for a long time now.  Now, I may be a convert, maybe.

This stuff just makes you feel fancy.  They put a lot of detail into these products.  You can see in the picture there is very delicate flower work on the side, and the lid has a mechanism that "clicks" every time it is closed tight enough.  Genius.

The brush, as you can see, is cone shaped.  I thought that this was an odd shape for a brush but it works.  The formula is fantastic, glides on your lashes and honestly coats every one of them.

The best part? you can layer for a thicker look.  I've accidentally slept with this stuff on (come on, you've all done it) and there was no flakes, so it stays put all day.

The Verdict? I'm in love.

2. L'absolu Nu Lipstick

Full Size: $35

Again with the beautiful detailing and elegant design.  This line really caters to the makeup junkie.  one of the serious pro's is that there is a magnet on the bottom to hold it closed.

Again, they really pay attention to detail, you can see the flower design etched into the lipstick itself.

Now truth time? I don't really wear lipstick all that often and the color is pretty, but not my favorite.  I think I'll save it for a special occasion.

I'll be the first one to admit however, this is also a very nice lipstick.  It moisturizes, while at the same time isn't sticky.  It covers the lips flawlessly with no streaks or chunks.

Swatch and Learn:

Top: Artificial light
Bottom: Natural light

Color is built up on the left, and only one swipe on the right

3. Artliner

Full Size: $37

Ok let me just say one thing about this product: WOW WOW WOW

Every girl needs one of these!!  I'm serious, I never knew this was missing from my daily routine!!

As you can see it is a foam tip which allows a very exact, precise application of eyeliner.  There is no mess and once this bad boy dries, it stays put. All. Day. Long.

Now the cons:  There is only 1.4ml of product and this is full sized.  I wont be repurchasing (sadly) because close to $40 for eyeliner that doesn't contain very much product?

nope.

4. Bi-Facial Makeup Remover

Full Size: $35

I have heard so many good things about this product from the blogosphere.  It is supposed to remove every type of makeup (including water proof) without leaving a greasy residue.

But I haven't opened it yet.  For some reason I have gotten so many makeup removers lately, and I refuse to stop using my favorite one (Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover).  I'm going to save this for a giveaway!

Total Value of my Prize: $138!!

To say that I am happy, would be an understatement.  Thanks to Style Sister for hosting the giveaway.

To have these products really is a treat because it feels like I just got back from a trip to Sephora and they said "here is all your favorite things for FREE"

I had a browse through the Lancome website and it seems as if the entire line is really well thought out.  The attention to detail on the products is excellent.  Sure, you have to shell out a little more money for these products, but they generally last longer and are made better.

So this Beauty Blogger?  Ecstatic! So happy.

  8. CONGRATULATIONS! What an awesome box of goodies! I love the Hypnose mascara, I didn't think it would work, but you're right it totally does! I also love the fact that there is a magnet in the lipstick. It's those little luxury touches that make you feel like you have a good product in your hands. The artliner IS expensive for how much you get...I find that for a little cheaper, and possibly even more precision, I use both Physician's Formula Liquid Eye Liner or the Lise Watier Liquid Eye Liner. I have the artliner just because I was so curious about it, but I don't think I'd repurchase just based on price.
